Acute Research Probes
NeuroNexus Technologies' unique technologies enable fabrication of probes of
any 2-dimensional shapes. To make our probes more commonly accessable, we have
selected a set of more commonly desired probes as our standard catalog.
Currently, we offer acute probes with eletrode count of 16, 32, or 64
contacts in one single probe. These probes vary in a few design parameters:
number of shanks (spanning the horizontal space), length of
shank (spaning different cortical layers), eletrode site area,
eletrode spacing, and tetrode configuration.
All probes are mounted and electrically connected to PC boards using ultrasonic
bonding. Exposed connections are stabilized and insulated with silicone. The
pins on the PC board mate directly to standard integrated circuit DIP sockets
or Samtec connectors, permitting easy handling and connection.
